CHARACTER
Name: Kaeya Alberich
True Name: Kaeya Alberich (in Khaenri'an)
Canon: Genshin Impact (patch 2.7)
Age: 21
History: Wiki page
Powers/Abilities:
Inventory: His usual attire, his Cryo Vision, his sword Aquila Favonia, extra eyepatches, two knives tucked away in his boots, a wind glider, and a couple of gold coins for fiddling with.
Job History:
Greatest Fear: That one day, Khaenri'ah and his destiny will catch up to him, forcing him to choose between his duty to his homeland or the city he loves now - and that when it does, he'll make the wrong choice or worse, never be given the ability to choose at all.
Greatest Desire: To be able to save the people of Khaenri'ah without turning against Mondstadt or causing a massive amount of casualties, and to be accepted for who he truly is.
Greatest Regret: That he's not actually the person the Ragnvindr family believed him to be, and that he can never go back to those idyllic days. If we're talking about regretting a choice he actually made and had control over, while he doesn't regret telling Diluc the truth, he does acknowledge that maybe he could have picked a better time and place for it instead of less than 24 hours after the most traumatic tragedy of his life.

CHARACTER
Name: Kaeya Alberich
True Name: Kaeya Alberich (in Khaenri'an)
Canon: Genshin Impact (patch 2.7)
Age: 21
History: Wiki page
Powers/Abilities:
- Cryo Vision (Ice Manipulation): Kaeya's Cryo Vision allows him to harness the power of ice like a pirate knock-off version of Elsa with worse singing skills. In the prequel webcomic to Genshin, he's shown to be able to control ice with far more finesse and power than his in-game skillset: he can create sword constructs out of ice, summon large ice barriers, and conjure a massive sheet of ice overhead thick enough to block pyro chains from striking at least four people around him.
- Frostgnaw: He shoots out a blast of subzero temperature air, causing freeze damage to anyone in the area in front of him as well as being able to freeze water around him in a thick enough plane of ice to walk on. He can also regenerate health with this skill, though given that the healing is miniscule he's probably just icing over his wounds like a moron.
- Glacial Waltz: He summons four large icicles that swirl around him as he moves, causing damage or freeze to anything they touch.
- Frozen Kiss: When in enough mortal peril, he will automatically summon a crystalline shield bubble that moves with him and is extra resistant to ice-related damage.
- Swordmanship: As a knight, Kaeya has trained extensively with the sword. He's well-versed in the traditional bladework of the Favonius Knights, as well as his own ceremonial flourishes likely from Khaenri'ah.
- General physical fitness: He's got the expected physical prowess of a knight who actively trains and fights on a regular basis and has been doing so since a very young age, ie well-honed reflexes, speed, strength, etc. Thanks to his high stamina reserves, he's very good at long-distance running and sprinting. Also, it's unclear whether it's high-speed flashstepping or actual teleportation magic, but he's able to disappear out of sight and immediately reappear behind his target when fighting.
- ???? some curse bullshit: As far as we know so far, the entire population of the nation Kaeya hails from has been afflicted with a curse that mutates them into monsters, erodes their memories and sense of self, and prevents them from dying from natural causes or mortal wounds. However, as Kaeya has been able to age normally from child to adulthood and currently doesn't show any visible signs of the curse, it seems that he's somehow been able to avoid/stall/remain immune to the curse. How he's able to do so hasn't been revealed in canon yet, though there are a few hints it may have something to do with the eye hidden underneath his eyepatch.

Job History:
Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius (current)Suppressions: Hoo boy, here we go. Buckle up, because Kaeya is 99% suppression 1% sincerity.Knight Recruit (former)
- Right-hand man to current Acting Grandmaster of the Knights, trusted with strategical and tactical command
- Protects and upholds the laws and people of the city, albeit via occasional unscrupulous methods (ie working with a vigilante, manipulating his own subordinates and allies, lying for the Greater Good)
- Assigns and commands missions and patrols to protect the city from monsters, criminals, slimy politicians, etc
- Attends diplomatic meetings and handles foreign affairs (usually via polite discussion, rarely via murder)
- Guardian to a child bomber
- Unofficial 'spymaster' - garners information from local taverns and gossip joints, runs an information network comprised of mostly criminals across several nations
- Makes sure the current Acting Grandmaster doesn't work herself to death
- Paperwork
- Ironically, does not in fact have anything to do with horses
Khaenri'an Agent/The Last Hope Of Khaenri'ah (former???)
- Errand boy, squire, mundane taskrunner, etc
- Learned the basics of survival and expeditions, such as camping, foraging, hunting, and so forth
- Trained in bladework, horseriding, combat, investigation
- Paperwork
- Sent from his homeland by his father to infiltrate the wealthiest family of a foreign nation at the age of 10
- Assimilated into an unfamiliar culture and society without revealing his true motivations and origin
- Gained the unconditional trust of said household and citizenry while struggling with conflicted loyalties
- Lied for nearly a decade about himself without raising suspicions
- Possibly still has a mission to complete. with or without his consent?
- His past: Unbeknownst to all but one, Kaeya was not just randomly abandoned on the road as a child by his deadbeat dad, but deliberately placed to infiltrate Mondstadt on the behalf of Khaenri'ah for currently unknown purposes. There's a lot of mysteries about Kaeya's origins: is he a prince or a descendant from noble lineage? How did he and his father come to current day Teyvat when their nation was destroyed 500 years ago? What exactly is this plan that required a child to be taken in by the wealthiest family in Mondstadt? Why is Kaeya referred to as the last hope of Khaenri'ah? How is he immune to the curse that afflicts the entirety of his people? Just how much of the truth of this world does he actually know? Whatever the answers are, Kaeya's certainly not telling anyone any time soon.
- Imposter syndrome: Kaeya has only ever told one person about the truth of his past, and that confession destroyed their once incredibly close-knit relationship to the point where said person immediately tried to kill him and now is barely on speaking terms with him, so he's never doing that again. Because of this though, he's always aware that the persona he presents to the world - that of the amiable and charming Cavalry Captain who might be a little sketchy but ultimately has Mondstadt's best intentions at heart - is just a front hiding his true self. Oh, he has friends, but as far as he's concerned they're just friends with the lies and act he's putting on, and none of them would ever see him in the same light again if they were to know anything real about him.
- Guilt: Ever since being taken in by the Ragnvindrs, Kaeya's been living with the guilt that these very kind people who have offered him their home and love were actually unknowingly inviting a viper into their midst. Though Crepus's death and his confession to Diluc about his origins have done some part in alleviating that guilt, it still very much lingers within him, much as he tries to ignore it. With his decision to choose Mondstadt over Khaenri'ah, he now also has to deal with the guilt over abandoning his duty to his people as their 'last hope'. There's also the fact that many of the monsters he kills are actually the cursed people of his homeland, twisted beyond humanity, and while he's managed to block most of that guilt out over the years...well, there's probably a reason Kaeya mostly deals with human threats to the city.
- Loneliness: Despite his extroverted attitude, Kaeya struggles with a deep loneliness stemming from the weight of all his secrets. There really isn't anyone he can be truly vulnerable with or who he can turn to with his problems, since that would require them knowing about his history and the one person who does wants nothing to do with him. He also has pretty serious abandonment issues, which makes it incredibly difficult for him to open up or genuinely trust anyone with anything emotional, as well as a sense of isolation from being one of the very few living and human Khaenri'ans left. It's heavily implied that part of why he drinks so much is to numb out this loneliness as a coping mechanism.
- His true intentions: Kaeya wears masks upon masks upon masks, to the point where it can be near impossible to tell what he's genuinely thinking or feeling. His heart has been described to be both as unyielding and fragile as ice, which is embodied in the extremes of his behavior. For instance, while he doesn't bother to hide his general untrustworthy nature, even those close to him can be surprised at just how ruthless and sadistic he can be - he smirks when he comes across the gruesome scene of his foster guardian's death, and he's willing to kill a child for being a threat to the city. On the flipside, he's deeply uncomfortable being acknowledged for his genuine acts of kindness and affection and will often deflect, such as giving credit to someone else for a surprise party he organized for an overworked friend.
- His destiny: Having currently pledged his loyalty to Mondstadt, Kaeya wants to believe that he's made a clean break with Khaenri'ah and the secrets of his past. He has not. He's trying not to think about it.
